Privacy

Dialed is built to know your coffee setup, not you. The short version:

Bag photos are transient

When you scan a bag, the photo is uploaded once so the label can be read, then deleted from our servers immediately after.

Recipes are generated in the cloud

To build a recipe, the coffee's label details and your equipment profile (grinder, machine, grind range) are sent to our recipe service and the AI providers it uses. We also record anonymous quality metrics, for example how many shots a dial-in took, to make recommendations better.

Beta email list

If you join the beta list, Dialed sends your email address, optional name, platform preference, consent text and consent time to Brevo. Brevo sends a confirmation email; you are only added after you confirm. You can unsubscribe from future beta emails at any time.

Analytics and session recordings

Dialed uses PostHog to understand whether the app and website are working. In the app, product events such as recipe generation and dial-in outcomes are sent pseudonymously. On the website, PostHog analytics and session recordings only load after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Your choice is stored in localStorage on this device. These analytics are used to improve the beta, not to sell or share personal data. Form submissions still follow the beta email list flow above.

Still being decided

Dialed is in active development, and details like accounts, sync and backups are not settled yet. This page will become a full, precise policy before release. The principle behind it won't change: collect as little as possible, and never sell anything.
